Helping Homeowners Keep Their Spaces in Shape

Chris Hayes Handyman is a family-owned carpentry and home repair company rooted in Simi Valley, CA. For thirty years, Chris has shown up personally to do the hands-on work himself, which is how we keep quality consistent and accountability real on every single job. When you call us, you get the same craftsman from the first measurement to the final cleanup.

Our specialty is carpentry and the detail work that makes a house feel finished. We build custom pieces, install crisp trim and molding, and tackle the everyday fixes that pile up around a home. Over three decades, we have hung countless doors, so door installation and door frame repair are second nature to us, and window installation is a natural part of the same skill set. We also handle deck repair and fresh deck construction when your outdoor space needs attention.

Beyond carpentry, we take care of the general upkeep that keeps a home solid. We do drywall repair and patching to make damaged walls look untouched, and we handle the kind of residential repairs that homeowners often put off because they are hard to schedule around a busy life. We can also assist with light plumbing tasks that come up during a repair or remodel, so you are not juggling multiple contractors for one project.

We believe in straightforward work and honest conversation, which is why we offer free estimates before any job begins. There is no mystery about the scope or the approach, just a clear plan and work done by the same person who quoted it. If your repair list keeps growing or you have been dreaming about a carpentry project, reach out, and we'll set up a time to take a look.
